WEB Reform UK Surges Ahead of Conservatives in Landmark Poll

Nigel Farage's Party Overtakes Tories for First Time

Nearly Half of Tory Supporters Switch Allegiance Amidst Rishi Sunak's Struggles

WEB Reform UK, led by former Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage, has surpassed the Conservative Party in a recent national opinion poll, marking a significant blow to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's embattled government.

According to a survey conducted by YouGov for the Times newspaper, Reform UK now commands 19% support, up from 17% previously. In contrast, the Conservatives have slipped to 16%, further eroding their once-dominant position.

The poll also reveals a concerning trend for Sunak: nearly half of those who voted for the Conservatives in the 2019 election now prefer alternative parties, particularly Labour or Reform UK.

The YouGov poll, conducted from June 5-6, shows that Reform UK's support has dropped slightly to 16%, while the Conservatives have remained stagnant. However, the party's average support in opinion polls over the past month has hovered around 9%, indicating a steady upward trajectory.
